Next Yacht Group launches “Next AI-Integrated System” the first local-first AI assistant for luxury yachts
Unveiled in a world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida, the Viareggio-based shipyard presents an Artificial Intelligence system capable of interacting directly with the yacht, enhancing the owner’s experience and assisting the crew — all without requiring an internet connection.
Developed in collaboration with AI Technologies and YES Group, and fully integrated with onboard systems to ensure maximum privacy and reliability, Next AI-Integrated System can be easily managed through the new proprietary My AB and My Maiora apps.

A digital concierge that knows every detail of the yacht, supporting both owner and crew in daily operations while ensuring security, privacy, and total reliability thanks to continuous functionality even without internet or cloud connectivity — this is the latest innovation in Artificial Intelligence applied to yachting that Next Yacht Group—the Italian excellence behind the AB Yachts and MAIORA brands—will unveil aboard its AB 110, making its market debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), from October 29 to November 2, 2025.
Next AI-Integrated System is the first proprietary local-first integrated AI platform, installed directly on board. Developed in partnership with AI Technologies, a leading Italian company in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and integrated with onboard systems by YES Group, a System Integrator with long-standing experience in the nautical sector, the AI assistant enables control of all yacht functions — lighting, climate, scenarios, entertainment — as well as access to system data such as fuel and water levels, energy consumption, alarms, and maintenance schedules.
It operates fully offline, ensuring data protection and constant, rapid response times. This cutting-edge solution continues the Group’s path toward digital transformation and innovation.
Modern yachts host dozens of heterogeneous systems, each with its own software and interface — from automation to security, entertainment to monitoring — often resulting in fragmented commands and dispersed data. Unlike cloud-based systems, which depend on connectivity and may compromise the confidentiality of technical data, Next AI-Integrated System introduces a new paradigm: a local digital brain that functions independently and autonomously.

With Next AI-Integrated System, the owner’s privacy is fully protected: all data and conversations remain entirely on board. Core functions are processed locally; 5G/WAN connectivity is optional and used only for remote read-only access.
The first release — debuting at FLIBS with live demos and real-world use cases on an AB 110 model — introduces the assistant in a text-based chat mode integrated within the new My AB and My Maiora proprietary apps, the primary interfaces for managing the AI system.
“With this highly innovative project, we are redefining the onboard experience,” said Giorgio Mattei, Deputy Chairman of Next Yacht Group. “For the owner, luxury means simplicity and control. We’re offering an assistant that works anytime, anywhere — even in the middle of the ocean, without internet — safely, continuously, and reliably. It’s an Artificial Intelligence that belongs to the yacht and its family, not to the cloud. Our approach is local-first: data, models, and decisions remain on board. The AI provides verifiable answers, secure commands, and deep integration with the yacht’s systems. In our development roadmap, we plan to introduce new features and services, such as always-on voice activation with a dedicated wake word, and predictive maintenance.”
Next AI-Integrated System is a proprietary project by Next Yacht Group and will be available across the shipyard’s entire range starting in 2026.
